Dead Island
The player is drawn into the world of Dead Island on the brink of a mysterious epidemic that suddenly, and without warning, breaks out on the fictional island of Banoi. As a guest of the Royal Palms Resort, the player's stay was supposed to be a dream holiday; a luxurious getaway to the beautiful beaches of a tropical paradise. But faced with the reality of a zombie apocalypse, there is only one thing left to do: Survive.

released after that about when the game would actually be released. But not long ago, Techla
to get us all to look back in the direction of the game with their AMAZING announcement trailer they
released to the public six months ago.
The game starts off with a little intro showing the first person view of an obviously drunk individual. Within the intro we meet the characters known as Logan Carter, Sam B, Xian Mei and Purna. The intro then ends as the man passes out in his hotel room and darkness fills the screen. The game then sends the player straight into the character selection menu; where the stats and stories of each character are shown. As the game starts you find your self standing in the middle of your hotel room with nothing but the clothes on your back and your fists. Within the first mission you find yourself learning the controls and running away from zombies like a little bitch. The game then takes you into your first hostile situation, you, with just a paddle, beating the shit out of zombies to save you first friend of the game, John Sinamoi. The games visuals are INCREDIBLE beyond anything I have EVER seen! You will almost never come across a graphics problem, and the worst thing you will experence in the game visualwise, is the game taking half a second to load some of the textures. The controls in this game are fluid and bug less, although when first start the game your first steps are going to weird you out on the realism but you will very quickly get used to it. One thing I really like about this game as a zombie title is that the characters pretty much explain to you why they cant just get one of the old boats you will come across in the game to get off the island, they also explain why they cant just call in for a chopper to come pick them up.
There are four main areas you can go to in the game such as The Resort, The City of Moresby, The Jungle and The Prison. All of these places you will be able to fast travel to if ever necessary. Each new location is a HUGE place to explore and search for new weapons and quests. The fast travel is truly amazing, with literaly one push of a button you are there within a matter of seconds. The loadings screens, if any, pretty much NEVER happen and will leave you smiling at how quick this game really is. The cars in this game are great, even though there are only four, I never really got bored of raming down zombies in my sexy blue pickup. Another part of this game is the Co-Op, apart from the slightly buggy joining system, the multiplayer in this game is beyond awesome, theres nothing like fighting over the front seat in a zombie apocalypse.
Overall this game is awesome! There was never a boring moment to be had what ever the situation.
Dead Island is available now for the Xbox 360, PC And playstation 3.
I give this game an overall score of 9/10
