Rig Arena

Rig Arena was Launched on the 23rd of October 2011. You can view it here.

A few weeks back we announced Rig Arena was coming... And yes, it is! We've setup the database and started on a couple of the pages so we should be ready to roll within the next 2 weeks. Let us know if you want to see anything in there...

But for now it's gunna:

• Allow you to list your gaming rigs (PC & Mac only).
• Setup your rigs specs from OS to RAM Speed.
• Upload pictures of your rig.
• Vote for rigs, 'Like' rigs.
• Be ready for any competitions we may setup such as whose got the best rig, best FPS etc... Yet we'll need to check somehow they're legit and not trollllllled specs.

Here is a general log of changes / additions to The Game House. We can't fit 'em all but we'll put the interesting ones in!

NOVEMBER 2011

• Like and Favourite buttons have been added to replace the text links.
• Users can now review any game they wish, the review will be displayed on the games page.
  
• Users profile also link to reviews page where people can view individual members reviews.
• Admins have been linked to their member accounts.
• Rig owners will be emailed when their rig is commented on.
• Games Pod was added, check it out! The latest & greatest podcasts on The Game House, see under Gamer Corner.
• Help & Tutorials section added, see under Other Links for help.
• Watermarks were added to all screenshots.
• Box shots were adjusted to fit nicely with shorter PS3 boxes.
  

OCTOBER 2011

• Rig-Arena added and live.
• A few bug fixes here and there.
• Online counter (BETA) added at the bottom which tells of how many are browsing within the past 15 minutes.
• Added 'unsubscribe' to emails + update profile area.
• Game screenshots max-size increased.
• User details added to Rig-Arena listings.
• Users can now enter their Playstation Network & Xbox Live ID's.
  

PRE OCTOBER 2011

• When someone writes on your wall you will get an automated message to let you know!
• Member links on the member account page were updated.
• When you open up a game, you can type #review, # video at the end of the URL to instantly take the screen to that part of the page. Therefore you can forward a review straight to someone and it'll show right up.
• New YouTube channel: Youtube.com/TheGameHouseNZ
• New 'add friends' section, you can now view members and add friends!
• Email notifications of wall posts & friend requests.
• News page & sideboxes now show images.
• Merged the latest news & news blog together to form 1.
• Downloads area for each game has been setup, some games have some cool downloads like screen-savers & videos.
• Fixed an account activation bug.

We're planning on getting done:

• Gamer cards.
• Some sort of minisite for Mobile.
• Forum / discussion area.

Launch Day

Welcome to the new Game House website. I hope you all like it, i've spent now a good 2 months on the site and it's hopefully going to pay off!

We want to shape the site around what you guys like, tell us by contacting us here. If somethings missing, not working, lacking, needs improvement gives a yell and we'll have a look into it.

Now to get started, you've got the site frame, sidebox to the left has your search categories and search box. The right has other links, featured game, news etc...
